Walkathon and Procession
The Board has been organizing Walkathon and procession to build awareness among the common masses on different environmental issues. Few images of the Walkathon organized by the Board in the year 2028 and 2023 are presented below –. The basic objective of the walkathon is to raise awareness among the common mass regarding the negative impacts of plastic waste in our environment and the need to stop using “Single-Use Plastic” items in our day to day life. The participants carries placards with messages like –‘Change Habit, carry reusable Jute Bags or Cloth Bags for shopping’; ‘Plastic waste pollute environment, Refuse items in single-use-plastic containers’; ‘Don’t dispose plastic waste with other solid wastes or in open places or in drains’ etc. with an attempt to spread messages in to the society.
